Pool is Done!!!

Pool is done and we are back in the gym once again. Grade seven and eights will be doing a basketball unit. Grade 9's have started a kinball unit and grade tens and elevens will heading into the weight room. Grade 12's we are going to skip the weight room and instead do some intense metabolic conditioning. Please remember to bring all your gym gear to class!!!

This documentary is airing on CBC tonight on The Nature of Things. I heard the film maker, who is an anthropologist, interviewed this morning on the radio, and the whole study sounded very interesting. Here's a little glimpse of what it's all about:

We're Out of the Pool!

It seems that we finished swimming just in time, thank goodness! All classes have moved on to a variety of new fitness experiences. With the new craze for extreme sports, I thought maybe I could introduce some into our phys-ed classes:
