Grade 11 Performance Enhancing Assignment
Things you will want to include in your presentation/ write up:
- A good understanding of your topic so you can answer any questions we may have.
-Why are athletes using this substance or practicing this habit?
-How does it benefit athletic performance?
- What are the physical effects on the body, and please include both positive and negative.
- Is this banned in the sporting world?
- Is this substance illegal?
-Why would an athlete be pressured to use them?

-Interesting facts/ situations about athletes that have used them (death rate, penalties).

For all of the following statements listed below, you must research to find out the truth. For each statement you can either argue it to be true or fase. You must support your argument with information you have found on the web, magazines or books. You must also include with your argument the name of the source, the author, and the page or website address.
Statements:
1. Weight training results in undesirable bulky muscle tone in women.
2. If it doesn't hurt it is not doing you any good. No pain No Gain.
3. If you do certain exercises you can loose fat in those specific areas or parts of the body.
